Guess Who Made Weight Today at UFC 124

After missing weight for the second time at UFC 117, Thiago Alves pleaded for one more chance at welterweight. Today at the UFC 124 weigh-ins was that chance and Alves came in at the welterweight limit of 171 pounds for his fight with John Howard.

For this camp Alves went a different route than before and brought in Mike Dolce to work with him on the weight cut. Mike is the creator of “The Dolce Diet” that has been used by many fighters to help them cut weight properly though nutrition, strength and conditioning. Alves looked in really good at the weigh-ins, probably the best shape in a very long time and Dolce was right there with him.

Along with Alves, the rest of the fighters also made weight for tomorrow’s UFC 124 and nothing out of the ordinary happened at the star downs, even between trash talking Sean McCorkle and Stefan Struve.

Here is the complete recap of the weigh-ins

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
