Jon Fitch has always been one of the toughest guys around. Well, today he faced another challenge head on, undergoing shoulder surgery on his injured right shoulder. He kept his Twitter followers updated as to his condition.
Jon Fitch started the day by tweeting: “Big day today. I will be in surgery in about 3 hours.” He later said, “Beautiful morning in LA. Wish I was down here for fun. At least after today I start healing.” Jon injured his shoulder training for a rematch with BJ Penn, a fight set to determine the number one contender for the Welterweight title after the two fighters fought to a draw at UFC 127 in February.
Jon Fitch underwent the surgery and let his fans know he was “Awake and feeling like a million bucks.” One of the top fighters on the UFC roster, he tweeted, “Back in hotel room. Ready to eat. Hungry as hell.” Everyone at MMA Valor wish Jon the speediest of recoveries.
