TUF 13 Winner Tony Ferguson Added to TUF 14 Finale
Ever since the announcement of the coaches for this season of The Ultimate Fighter fans have been salivating over the imminent clash between Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller. It’s very obvious to viewers of season fourteen that Miller and Bisping have an utter and complete distaste for each other, and if the events on the series are a precursor to what we can expect at the season finale we could all be in for a real treat. As if the Bisping/Miller bout wasn’t enough incentive to tune into the finale other than to see who wins the contracts, another great fight has been added to the evening’s card. Season thirteen winner Tony Ferguson has been confirmed to be matched up against MMA veteran and owner of one of the most spectacular head kick knockouts in MMA, Yves Edwards.
Ferguson is coming off of a monster victory over Aaron Riley at UFC 135 where Tony broke Aaron’s jaw in the first round, forcing Riley to not even answer the second round bell. Ferguson looked fantastic and extremely relaxed inside the cage against Riley and really made a statement as someone to keep tabs on in the immediate future. Ferguson dropped weight from the Welterweight division to join arguably the most competitive division in the UFC which the Lightweight class.
Yves Edwards on the other hand is also making another run at contention with four victories out of his last five contests including a wonderful finish of Rafaello Oliveira at UFC Live on Versus 6 at the first of the month. This fight should be very entertaining with two fearless strikers just going at it until one falls. The Ultimate Fighter season 14 finale is scheduled for December 3rd and with this new fight announcement I am now looking forward to this event with that much more anticipation.
