BAMMA 10 adds three more Fights
After announcing the BAMMA 10 main event between Rob Sinclair and Andre Winner, BAMMA (British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) added three more bouts to the card today. BAMMA 10 will take place on September 15th from the Wembley Arena in London, UK and tickets for the event are already on sale.
All three bouts are in the lightweight division, but where they appear on the final card has yet to be determined.
Curt Warburton vs. Lee Wieczorek
UFC veteran and Wolfslair fighter Curt Warburton (10-3) will make his second BAMMA appearance after earning a unanimous decision win over Tim Newman at BAMMA 8. Going 1-2 inside the Octagon, Warburton has rebounded and has won three in a row since his release. He’ll have his hands full against Lee Wieczorek (11-3) who is holds the UWC title and comes in riding a six fight winning streak. “Curt is a great fighter, so I expect nothing less than a war against him. I think it’s going to be a great fight and a true MMA fight, as it could take place on the feet, in the clinch or on the ground,” said Wieczorek
Lewis Long will be making his BAMMA debut at BAMMA 10 and brings a 6-1 record into the bout, including a current four fight winning streak. The all around fighter has half of his pro wins via submission but has the striking as well that earned him a 5-1 Muay Thai record. Ian Entwistle also has a 6-1 record and will be making his BAMMA debut. Entwistle has four submission wins on his record so he’ll match the submission game his opponent. “The difference between him and me is that he doesn’t have a clear instinct to finish fights. Wherever the fight goes, it goes; but I’m known for my fast submission finishes,” said Entwistle.
Jeremy Petley vs. Dyson Roberts
BAMMA veteran Jeremy Petley (7-4-1) will make his fourth appearance for the promotion, having gone 1-1-1 in his previous three. The English fighter has won his last two bouts but has not fought for the promotion since BAMMA 6. Dyson Roberts (5-2) will bring his nasty ground and pound to BAMMA 10 and the UCMMA veteran will look to impress in his debut. Roberts is on a two fight winning streak and has finished all of his fights, only seeing the third round once. “I’m feeling both nervous and excited for my upcoming fight, as I always do. It’s on a massive stage so I’m just trying to make sure that doesn’t get to me,” said Roberts.
BAMMA 10 will air live in the UK on 5 Star channel, AXS TV in the US, Fight Network in Canada, Esporta in Brazil, Red Media in Russia, Setanta in Africa and TDN in Latin America. Tickets to BAMMA 10 can be purchased here.
