After a week off last week, Bellator fighting Championship is back with Bellator 43 from the First Council Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The fourth season is coming to an end and that means tournament finals time.
When Bellator announced the pairing of former Judo Olympian Rick Hawn and UK’s own Judo Black Belt, Jim Wallhead, many expected to see some great Judo on display. Those people would be wrong, as Rick Hawn used his improved and impressive boxing to beat Wallhead at Bellator 35, in a place many thought the Brit had an advantage.
Bellator Welterweight Lyman Good talks about advancing forward in the season 4 welterweight tournament by defeating Chris Lozano at Bellator 35. Good won a unanimous decision against Chris Lozano and will now take on Rick Hawn in the semifinal round on April 2.
Dan Hornbuckle talks about his close defeat in the welterweight tournament at the hands of Brent Weedman at last nights Bellator 35. Hornbuckle and Weedman battled it out for 15 minutes with the judges giving the fight to Weedman, who advances in the tournament to face Jay Hieron.
(Lemoore, CA) And here we go! The fourth season of the Bellator Fighting Championships is finally here after a few month layoff and they starting things off with tonight’s Bellator 35. After signing a network TV deal, the promotion will be making its debut on and it’s new home (MTV2) at a new day and time (Saturdays at 6pm PT/9pm ET).
