In some tricky scheduling, we have two TUF Finales in two days, with TUF: The Smashes and TUF 16: Carwin vs. Nelson. While Carwin vs. Nelson itself will be put on the shelf due to Carwin’s knee injury, we’re still treated to a solid card with Matt Mitrione stepping in on short notice against Nelson. After longer than a year off due to an undisclosed injury, John Hathaway (16-1) returned to his fighting ways at last weekend UFC on FOX 3. Hathaway faced the tough German Pascal Krauss, a formerly undefeated rising prospect out of team Roufusport. In the fight Hathaway proved to have the more effective striking and grappling by completely dominating Krauss for a unanimous decision.
