Taking away from Dana White’s feelings about UFC 149′s performance for the masses, two fighters went in opposite directions from one another after their co-main and main event performances.
In the lead up to last night’s UFC 149 in Calgary, all the talk was of the two headliners entering their bouts riding long unbeaten streaks. Renan Barao was on a 28 fight unbeaten streak that included 18 in a row, while Hector Lombard was unbeaten in 25 straight with 20 wins in a row. No one was talking about the former MFC light heavyweight champion Ryan Jimmo who was making his Octagon debut at UFC 149 on a 16 fight winning streak.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has finally made it to Calgary with tonight’s UFC 149 in the Saddledome. The card has seen move change than a vending machine but despite all this turmoil the 11 bout fight card that will go down tonight is a true testament to the depth of the UFC roster.
UFC 149 seemed to be such a cursed fight card but that all changed (hopefully) as all 24 fighters easily made weight today in Calgary. The injuries piled up and the changes were a plenty on the UFC 149 fight card, but the fighters that survived to make on the final card appear ready to go.
Saturday’s UFC 149 is probably the most changed UFC fight card in recent history. Between all the injuries and shuffling around, the card has seen nearly every fight different from originally announced including the loss of the featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Eric Koch. Surprisingly though the UFC pulled it all together and UFC 149 has transformed into a solid fight card.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

Amidst everything else going on, the UFC has themselves a busy day today with the UFC on FX 6 taking place in Australia and The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale weigh-ins. All 24 fighters made weight today for tomorrow’s event that will crown The Ultimate Fighter 16 welterweight winner.
UFC on FUEL TV 4 Weigh-in Results and Photos
SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.

All the fighters for tomorrow’s TUF Live Finale were on weight as they stepped onto the scales inside the Pearl at the Palms. The 20 fighters, including 12 of the 16 TUF Live fighters will begin entering the Octagon tomorrow starting at 2:45pm PT / 5:45pm ET.
