Kyle Baker set to face Paul Daley at Bellator 79When Paul “Semtex” Daley makes his second Bellator appearance at next month’s Bellator 79, he’ll do so against Current North American Allied Fight Series Welterweight Champion Kyle Baker. News of the bout was announced today by MMA Institute, where Kyle “The Alley Cat” Baker trains and is the training center’s co-founder.

Baker is coming off a loss to Lucio Linhares back in March but hold notable wins over Drew Fickett (UFC Veteran), Chad Reiner (UFC Veteran), Binky Jones (Bellator Fighting Championships Veteran) and LaVon Maynard (Bellator Fighting Championships Veteran). The heavy-handed Daley will be the toughest opponent for Kyle Baker (13-6) thus far in his MMA career and also on the biggest stage. The bout against Daley will air on MTV2 as part of the Bellator 79 co-main event.

Daley (30-12-2) made his Bellator debut in July against Rudy Bears at Bellator 72. The welterweight made a big impression and short work of Bears with a first round TKO. Prior to signing with Bellator, Daley had fought for several other promotions, including the UFC, BAMMA and Strikeforce.

With 30 knockouts between the two fighters it’s a safe bet that this fight will not see the judges’ scorecards. The Kyle Baker versus Paul Daley Bellator 79 bout will take place at the Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada on November 2nd, 2012.
