MMA Valor Local Corner: WCS 14 and the MMA Evolution Expo
This weekend the amateur MMA promotion World Combat Series returns to Convention Center in San Jose, California with a weekend long expo that will be capped off with the WCS 14 fight card. This years Expo is so much bigger than last time and the 14 bout MMA fight card, which takes place on Sunday, features two title fights.
If you attended the MMA Evolution Expo last year you’re probably wondering how could this years expo be bigger? Well aside from attending and seeing for yourself, here is all that is going down this weekend (February 8th & 9th).

San Jose P.A.L will host USA Boxing at the MMA Evolution Expo. Saturday will feature many local talented fighters showcasing their talent in the ring. Sunday will be exhibitions and training seminars, don’t miss out on the action.
KARATE TOURNAMENT: Presented by Sean Dumlao / Tony Kattangell
The League Karate Tournaments hosts some of the largest, most prestigious events in California and will be at the forefront of the MMA Evolution Expo.
JIU JITSU BY THE SEA: Presented by Claudio Franca
A name synonymous in the Jiu Jistu Community for hosting some of the top tournaments in the nation, Claudio will host his annual Jiu JItsu By the Sea Championships. Featuring both a Gi and No –Gi tournament over both days.
LEGACY JUDO TOURNAMENT: Presented by David Williams
5th Degree Black Belt David Williams has dedicated his life to the Art of Judo, he is proud to present the Legacy Judo tournament.
MEGATRON WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS: Presented by Dan Peiffer
Featured in over 6 states and hosting some of the largest and most prestigious wrestling tournaments in the United states. Dan Peiffer present the Megatron Wrestling Championship.
CROSSFIT MOXIE: Presented by Chris Michelmore
Bay Area Natives and CrossFit Pioneers Chris Michelmore will present the Crossfit Moxie Individual Series held at the MMA Evolution Expo.
FARLEY’S CONTINUOUS KICKBOXING SPARRING TOURNAMENT: Presented by Farley’s Kickboxing
This will truly be a fantastic display of kickboxing talent from across the Bay Area. Promoted by one of the pioneering kickboxers that revolutionized the sport and grew this sport to new heights.
GLOBAL BAR BATTLES: Presented by Dustan Holmdahl / J Baca
The bridge between gymnastic bar movements and Calisthenics has evolved to a radical and acrobatic art. Come watch high-flying incredible feats of strength and agility performed by some of the most impressive athletes on the planet.
Along with all this there will be roughly 140 booths setup throughout the expo featuring top brands and industrial leaders in MMA, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Bodybuilding, Jiu Jitsu and so much more. Plus there will also be several special celebrity guests scheduled to attend, including Mike Kyle and Joe Riggs.
