If you’re looking for changes to the latest fighter rankings, take a peak at the welterweight rankings and then look no further. The slow month really kept things the same but the lone UFC event in March did reshuffle the ranks of the welterweight division.
Saturday’s UFC 158 was filled with welterweight action, capped off by the UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre successfully defending his title against Nick Diaz. The fans have been waiting a very long time for tonight’s UFC 158 main event. The hype and trash talking is over, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will defend his title against the former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz.
The fight fans have waiting to see for a year and a half finally happens this weekend at UFC 158. UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will make his eighth consecutive title defense in the night’s main event against former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz.
Few figures are as polarizing as Nick Diaz, and while he isn’t the one to hold the Welterweight strap, he seems to be the focal point of all the talk concerning UFC 158. The title fight isn’t the only piece of action at 170lbs, as it seems the entire division has turned out for this event. Hendricks, Condit, Ellenberger and Marquardt all have a claim to stake and you can bet we’ll be seeing some fireworks in the cage.
Kevin and George from Uncut Sports “weigh in” on the main event for the upcoming UFC 158 event. This might be one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history, and it’s finally going to happen, well hopefully.
This past month saw some exciting MMA action and some not so well, but as a whole the month of February produced several meaningful bouts to MMA Rankings. Champions Renan Barao and Eduardo Dantas made successful title defenses this month and Alexander Shlemenko was crowned the new Bellator middleweight champion.
