The bay area is a hot bed for Mixed Martial Arts, its home to such gyms as American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose and The Skrap Pack in San Francisco. These gyms have produced many current and former champions in the UFC and Strikeforce and have several up and coming prospects looking to following their footsteps. On Saturday those amateurs had a new place they could call home, Bay Brawlers.
Remember when you thought that your dad was the toughest guy on the block and you knew he could demolish anybody else’s dad? It is hard to not love some of the names in this article for what the have done in the past for MMA but their current selves are only a reflection of what they were and could still be.

Coming off the Strikeforce grand prix event last week that saw very few fighters receiving medical suspensions, every single on the UFC Fight Night 25: Battle on the Bayou card was given some form of mandatory suspensions. The majority of the competitors received a very small mandatory 7-day suspension but some of the suspensions did climb as high as 60 days.
There was not shortage of Battles on the Bayou tonight as the 25th installment of UFC Fight Night went off without a hitch once again. Following the preliminary card which streamed on the UFC Facebook fan page, the main card featured a two TUF season winners and a multi-promotional champion.
Battle of the Bayou sounds more like something out of the civil war history book then a UFC event but nevertheless, tomorrows UFC Fight Night 25 dawns the name. The UFC returns to the big easy and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana for the first time in over nine years. The free card will air live on Spike TV, with the undercard streaming on Facebook.

Bellator 100 Weigh-in Pictures
Last night the fighters for tonight’s Bellator 100 stepped onto the scales with all 24 fighters making weight. The historic 100th event for Bellator takes places tonight from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and features an all welterweight main card on Spike TV.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.
