Tonight the world witnessed one of the best fights of the year Dustin Poirier and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung went four round in the main event of the UFC on FUEL TV 3. The fight would end a very solid night of fights that started on Facebook with six preliminary bouts before fans moved to FUEL TV for six more fights on the main card.

UFC 149: Aldo vs. Koch Tickets go on Sale this Week

Just days after the UFC announced that Jose Aldo, the UFC featherweight champion would be taking on Erik Koch in the UFC 149 main event, tickets for the event will go on sale this week. The event will take place Saturday, July 21st from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and will be the promotions first trip to Calgary.

The calendar has turned to April which means MMA fans survived the month-long absence of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Despite some great action from Bellator to fill the void, the action of March did little to the April ranks.

Possible Opponents for Jose Aldo at UFC 149

Yesterday the UFC held a press conference in Calgary to announce that three events will be held in Canada each of the next two years. Calgary will play host for the first UFC in Canada this year with UFC 149 on July 21st. During the press conference UFC president Dana White also announced that featherweight champion Jose Aldo would headline the card against a “to be determined” opponent.

UFC president Dana White and head of UFC Canada Tom Wright will be holding a UFC 149 press conference today at 11pm PT / 2pm ET. The special presser is expected to see Featherweight champion Jose Aldo be announced as the headliner for the card but against who is unknown.

Friday night’s Bellator 60 was a solid showcase of the promotions 145 lb. division, a division that is filled with talent and also has a newly crowned champion. Bellator’s featherweight division is quite possibly their premiere division and likely the only division that could possibly be compared side to side to that of the UFC.
