After a week off, Bellator MMA was back in action tonight with Bellator 93 from inside the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine. The night was headlined by the finals of the season 7 lightweight tournament between Marcin Held and Dave Jansen.
Welterweight Chuck “Cold Steel” O’ Neil has trained with some of the biggest names in MMA today, and it shows. Chuck is no stranger to the cameras having most recently taking part in TUF Season 13: Team Lesnar vs. Dos Santos. As a part of Team Lesnar, O’ Neil’s shining moment was his impressive D’arce choke victory over Team Dos Santos Javier Torres as the fight was coming to a close.
From the small confines of the Mayfield Inn Trade and Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada the Maximum Fighting Championship held its 3oth event. Putting on fights in Canada for nearly 10 years, the president of MFC Mark Pavelich announced a new five year deal with HDNet to continue airing MFC events.
The Maximum Fighting Championship is back with fiery action north of the border with MFC 30. Two excellent Co-Main Events make this card a very solid and entertaining event. Mark Pavelich and company always put on a tremendous show at tonight should be no different.
Canada’s Maximum Fighting Championship, looking to build off the success of MFC 29 announced today a very special event. On Friday June 10th from the Mayfield Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta and airing live on HDNet will be MFC 30: Up Close & Personal.
MFC 29 shined up their belts, built their new ring and played a larger arena as they were live from the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario.
Tonight on HDNet Maximum Fighting Championships will hold an event featuring two world championship matches. It also features many names that have dotted the MMA landscape on the biggest stages. Included on that list are former UFC fighters, Zak Cummings, Terry Martin, Hermes Franca, Pete Spratt and Marcus Davis.
It’s another big weekend in the Mixed Martial Arts universe. MFC, Strikeforce and Bellator are all in action, with shows airing on HDNet, Showtime and MTV2 and there are some VERY interesting fights out there vying for your hard earned betting dollar. I’m only going to be looking to put money on the televised main cards, so we’re going to start with MFC and find out if there are any worthwhile bets out there.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

Amidst everything else going on, the UFC has themselves a busy day today with the UFC on FX 6 taking place in Australia and The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale weigh-ins. All 24 fighters made weight today for tomorrow’s event that will crown The Ultimate Fighter 16 welterweight winner.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.

All the fighters for tomorrow’s TUF Live Finale were on weight as they stepped onto the scales inside the Pearl at the Palms. The 20 fighters, including 12 of the 16 TUF Live fighters will begin entering the Octagon tomorrow starting at 2:45pm PT / 5:45pm ET.
