After last week’s strange ending to the opening round of the heavyweight tournament, tonight’s Bellator 76 was a welcomed sight. Along with the featherweight tournament quarterfinals, the Bellator 76 main card was headlined by a lightweight super bout between Eddie Alvarez and Patricky Pitbull.
Though most of the focus is on UFC 153 this Saturday, you don’t want to forget about Friday’s Bellator 76. The main event, which will air on MTV2 at 8pm ET, features a lightweight showdown between former Bellator lightweight champ, Eddie Alvarez (23-3) and Heavy handed Patricky “Pitbull” Freire (10-3).
The featherweight tournament is now down to just two fighters as the semifinals are now in the books and the finals are set. The televised portion of Bellator 47 featured the two semifinal tournament bouts along with two other special attraction fights.
The middle event of the Bellator summer series comes to the Casino Rama in Rama, Canada this Saturday July 23rd. The card (Bellator 47) will mark the promotions first event in Canada and will be headlined by the semifinal round of the featherweight tournament.
