Last week’s Ultimate Fighter 17 debut saw 14 fighters, including Zak Cummings survive the elimination round to make it into the house. Cummings fought in the episodes second fight and scored the fastest finish of the night with a 7 second TKO against Nik Fekete. Last night two free MMA cards took place on live television and the two first fights on each card graced viewers with two very rare submissions that really dragged the fans into a great night of fights. UFN 24 saw a “twister” submission which was locked in by Chan Sung Jung last night for the first time in UFC history, and then an “inverted triangle” pulled by Rage in the Cage star’s Richard Hale last night in Bellator’s light heavyweight tournament.
The final tournament of Bellator’s forth season gets underway this Saturday from the Harrah’s Casino Tunica Event Center in Robinsonville, Mississippi. Bellator 38 will see the quarterfinal round of the promotions inaugural light heavyweight tournament with eight fighters looking to be crowned the Bellator light heavyweight champion.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.

The long grind of the first live version of The Ultimate Fighter ends tonight at the TUF Live Finale in Las Vegas. Featuring 12 of the 16 TUF Live contestants, the 10 bout card will be headlined by an important match-up in the welterweight division between Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann.
