Flyweights are coming, and we’re already infested with Bantam and Featherweights. As for me, the only weight class I recognize is the open weight class. Back in my day, no one ever cut weight. They were too busy cutting your face with full mount headbutts to give a shit about what a scale said. Ah, the good old days of MMA. They’re long gone now; Swallowed by commissions and legislations, but an old man can still reminisce about how things used to be.

Rampage Jackson Get his fight in Japan at UFC 144

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-9) wanted on the UFC 144 card in Japan and what once looked unlikely, is now going to happened. The former Pride star was briefly rumored to be facing Stephen Bonnar but he will in fact be facing the Ultimate fighter season 8 winner, Ryan Bader (13-2).

If legendary PRIDE superstar Wanderlei Silva wants to continue fighting for the UFC he needs to stay awake inside of the Octagon this Saturday Night. His UFC career has been a combination of impressive hard-fought decision losses (vs. Liddell, Franklin) and 1st Round knockout losses (Rampage, Leben) with a win or two sprinkled in between (Jardine, Bisping). Although the 36 second highlight reel knockout of Jardine may be the one victory he’s most remembered for during his latest UFC but the most impressive might be his cool and calculated decision victory over Michael Bisping in OZ last February.

Former WAMMA World Champion, Pride World Champion and at one point (that lasted a decade) thought to be indestructible Fedor Emelianenko has been dropped from Strikeforce.  Dana White made the announcement during the UFC 133 press conference in Philadelphia, PA.

Rampage Jackson Thinks Most MMA Fighters Are Boring

In a recent interview with Fighter’s Only Magazine, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson discussed his upcoming UFC Light Heavyweight championship bout versus Jonny “Bones” Jones at UFC 135, and made several interesting statements regarding his perceived direction of the sport, as well as, an open criticism on the quality of the opponents that he has had to face as of late, claiming that he finds the new breed of MMA fighter; “boring.”
