The fallout from the Saturday’s epic UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson event was released today by the California State Athletic Commission. Out of the 24 fighters on the card, 13 of them received medical suspensions with the obvious combatants receiving extended suspensions.

Blood, sweat and tears were shed onto the canvassed octagon this past Saturday night in San Jose, CA. A card that was predicted to be one of the best of the year, delivered in what could have been one of the greatest of all time when you consider the performances showcased by the men who went out to fight and claim the victory.

Making their first trip to San Jose, California the UFC put together a deep fight card that delivered the goods inside the Octagon. The final two fights at UFC 139 were both awarded “Fight of the Night” honors for good reason. The UFC 139 weigh-ins could easily go down as one of the most interesting pre-fight weigh ins ever between the scale troubles, outrageous outfits and personalities. With fighters walking out dressed in a suit (Danny Castillo) and as Steven Seagal (Tom Lawlor) the fans were treated to more than fighters stripping down to their skivvies and stepping on a scale.

After a successful debut on network TV the UFC heads up interstate 101 from Anaheim, California to the HP Pavilion in San Jose for UFC 139. The former home of Strikeforce, the UFC is making their first trip to San Jose. With MMA legends and former champions all over the card, UFC 139 is one of the deepest fight cards of the year.
