Under Card [Amatuer]

Amatuer 145 lbs. Christian Buron vs. David Blanco - Blanco By Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Close fight with the second round being the deciding factor. Round one went to Buron and three to Blanco, So the judges were split on the second round. Blanco scored a late takedown that might have sealed it for him.

Amatuer 155 lbs. Alan Francis Perez vs. Johnathan Del Rosario – Perez by 3rd round KO (Spinning back elbow)

Going into the third round the fight was one round each. Perez comes out in the third with a spinning back fist which landed the elbow, knocking Del Rosario out.

Amateur 170 lbs. Jared Hess vs. Eric Faria – Hess by 2nd rd Submission (Arm Triangle)

Fight was dominated by Jared Hess from start to finish, Hess took the fight down early and cut Faria along the forehead to start the second. Got another takedown and sinked in the arm triangle to end the fight.

Amateur 185 lbs. Jonathan Chaplin vs. Ben Ernest – Chaplin by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

The fight was spent mostly on the ground, Chaplin took the fight down early in both the first and second rounds. He got another takedown in the third but Ernest reversed it to steal the round.

Amateur 230 lbs. Justin Bronson vs. Robert Johnson – Johnson by 3rd rd TKO

Bronson was actually winning the fight but going into the third both fighters began to gas and Johnson had more left in the tank to score the very late TKO.

Amateur 265 lbs. Steve Dickey vs. Justin (Never got his Last name, Sorry)- Justin by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-29)

This fight actually happen as the last fight on the under card.

Under Card [Pro]

155 lbs. Jess Bouscal vs. Luis Mendoza – Bouscal by 2nd rd Submission (Arm Triangle)

Very entertaining fight that was back and forth in the first round with both fighters getting the other into tough positions. Second round was all Bouscal though who got the early takedown and wore Mendoza down, moved to full mount and then locked in a arm triangle to finish.

180 lbs. Ron Keslar vs. Josh McDonald – McDonald by Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

170 lbs. James Terry vs. David Marshall – Terry by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Terry looked really sharp with his striking in the first round, landing a good mix of punches and kicks to Marshall. A lot of the same in round two for Terry but he mixed in some good takedown defense and blooded up the face of Marshall, who was dropped but saved by the bell. Marshall is still a little hurt from the end of round two to start the third round but he does make it to the end of the fight, pretty messed up though.

Main Card

170 lbs. Tryon Woodley vs. Andre Galvao – Woodley by 1st rd TKO

Woodley came out striking and keeping it there by backing away when Galvao went to the ground. Galvao got rocked by a right as he was getting out and Galvao’s legs were gone. Galvao goes for a desperation takedown, gets stuffed and the referee stops it by TKO

135 lbs. Sarah Kaufman vs. Marloes Coenen – Coenen by 3rd rd Submission (Arm Bar)

Coenen looked sharp in round one with some good striking and stuffing every takedown attept by Kaufman, fans are getting restless already though. Round two was the same as round one until about 30 seconds left when the first takedwon came as Coenen went for a throw but ended on the bottom. Kaufman scored a good takedown to open round three and Coenen was taking some shots but looking for the submission. She got an opening and locked a bad arm bar that forces Kaufman to tap.

155 lbs. Josh Thomson vs. JZ Calacante – Thomson by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

WOW what a first round. JZ rocked Thomson early and sinked in a choke that looked deep but Thomson didn’t tap. After the escape Thomson was on top doing some damage and as the round ended had locked in an arm triangle choke. The first half of round two was spent along the cage as the two exchanged knees while reversing each other. Thomson gets a takedown right into back position but JZ is able to move his back to the canvas. The rest of the round JZ was on his back getting hit by Thomson and the round comes to a close with Thomson clearly winning that one. Round three was slower and JZ took Thomson down twice, but really didn’t do much when there. Thomson actually did more from the bottom and looked the fresher fighter as well. Tough fight to score! <– Was not a 30-27 fight thats for sure!
