Demetrious Johnson looks Impressive at UFC 126
To start off the televised portion of UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson took on Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto on Facebook. Both fighters were technically making their UFC debut tonight, but Johnson previously fought in the WEC.
The popularity of this fight is what landed it on Facebook and without a doubt it lived up to the hype.
Speed was the key in this fight and while they both displayed great speed it was Johnson who was the quicker fighter and that was the difference in the fight. Showing a perfect transition between striking and the wrestling, Yamamoto consistently found himself with his back on the canvas. The striking of Johnson looked the best he has shown this far and rocked Yamamoto, who was worrying more about the takedowns.
The fight was completely dominated by Johnson and when Bruce Buffer read the judges’ score cards, every judge scored the fight 30-27 for the winner, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson.
