Bellator 35 Fight Card and Predictions
Bellator Fighting Championships fourth season kicks off tomorrow with Bellator 35 from the Tachi Palace casino in Lemoore, California. Season four will feature tournaments in four different divisions, three from the original tournament classes (featherweight, lightweight and welterweight) and an inaugural light heavyweight tournament that will crown the first every Bellator light heavyweight champion.
The season starts off in the welterweight division as the eight participants will face off in the quarterfinal round of the tournament. Future Bellator cards will feature the start of the other three tournaments, starting with the lightweights at Bellator 36.
The welterweight field features a nice blend of rising stars, grizzled veterans, and former champs who hold an impressive combined MMA record of 122-22-1. The welterweight field is stacked and there isn’t a single gimme fight in the field.
Besides the welterweight tournament action, Bellator 35 feature four undercard bouts headlined by the current Bellator 115 lbs. champion Zoila Frausto in a non-title fight against Karina Hallinan.
Bellator 35 will mark the promotions move from the traditional Thursday spot to Saturdays at 6pm PT/9pm ET on MT2, which is also new.
