MMA Rankings for November 2012

The MMA Rankings haven’t changed much over the last few months but as we enter the final two months of 2012 there are several fights slated that are sure to shake up the ranks. Last month only saw one ranked fighter enter the cage and that fight wasn’t even at his normal weight class. There was one fighter that did jump into the top five when he earned a flyweight title shot at UFC on FX 5.

Anderson Silva MMA Rankings

17 straight for Anderson Silva

UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva recorded his 17th straight win at UFC 153 with a TKO victory over Stephan Bonnar in a light heavyweight bout. Silva handed Bonnar his first career finish with a knee to the body that sent The Ultimate Fighter standout into retirement.

The biggest move in the MMA rankings goes to John Dodson who now sits at #3 in the flyweight division following his second round TKO victory over Jussier Formiga at UFC on FX 5. The win by Dodson puts him next in line for the UFC flyweight belt around the waist of Demetrious Johnson.

November is the UFC welterweights month as three of the top 5 fighters will be fighting on the UFC 154 card. Champion Georges St-Pierre (#1) returns from injury to defend his title against the interim champion Carlos Condit (#2). Whoever comes out as the unified welterweight champion will most likely face the winner of Johny Hendricks (#5) vs. Martin Kampmann UFC 154 co-main event bout.

Speaking of the welterweight division, after solid performances from Demian Maia and Jon Fitch at UFC 153 both find themselves “knocking on the door” of possibly the deepest division in Mixed Martial Arts.

As always the goal here is to give you the best Rankings that we can provide you with and of course a spot below for you to disagree and complain. So without further ado here is the latest MMAValor.com MMA fighter Rankings:

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
