UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami Bold Predictions

Nearly 13 years ago at UFC 17.5: Ultimate Brazil, the Ultimate Fighting Championship held it’s first ever event in Brazil. This Saturday, August 27th the promotion makes its long-awaited returns to Brazil with UFC 134 Silva vs. Okami from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

The UFC and MMA in general is filled a plethora top-level fighters from Brazil and at UFC 134 many of those top talents will be on display.

Starting at the top of the card with the best Brazilian fighter on the planet and reigning UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva (30-4). Making his ninth title defense and riding a 14 fight winning streak, Silva will take on the last man to defeat him in Yushin Okami. The two fought in the opening round of the Rumble on the Rock welterweight tournament where Silva was disqualified for landing an illegal upkick that prevented Okami from continuing. While Silva wasn’t actually defeated, it is the last blemish on the record for “The Spider”.

UFC 134 has 14 Brazilians on the card; eight of them are matched up against non-Brazilians, while the other six are matched up against each other. The entire 12 bout card only has one fight that does not include at least one Brazilian fighter in it as Yves Jabouin (Canada) talks on Ian Loveland (United States).

Since you’re being flooded with knowledge here is a little bit more. UFC 134 also included four former or current UFC champions in Anderson Silva (Middleweight), Maurico Rua (Light Heavyweight), Forrest Griffin (Light Heavyweight) and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Interim Heavyweight).

Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.

I work for DISH Network and answer orders for special events like boxing matches and all the UFC fights. I like to be friendly while on the phone and start pleasant conversation to keep the call personable and enjoyable for the customer. I received a lot of calls from people ordering the fight from all over the nation and they all have high hopes to see Silva properly defeat Okami. I can vouch for this being a tremendous opportunity for Okami to show the world that he can be victorious. I’m so glad I’ll be lucky enough to enjoy this fight in the comfort of my home and see a true victory in the best HD imaginable!
