Shark Fight Promotions will be heading to Independence, Missouri for their 19th event and they’ll be bringing 36 fighters along with them. Shark Fights 19 takes place on Saturday September 10, 2011 from the Independence Events Center in Independence, Missouri and will feature five main bouts, seven preliminary fights, and six amateur fights.

“This is the largest fight card in Shark Fights history. Only with the help of Shamrock Promotions and Blue Corner can we even attempt to promote such an ambitious and dynamic fight card. Independence, Missouri is in store for a great night of fights,” Shark Fights executive Wes Nolen said.

The nights Main Event features UFC veteran Rob Kimmons (23-8) against the hard-hitting Chuck Parmelee (39-10-1). Kimmons has been struggling, losing three in a row with a disappointing 2-4 record over his last six fights. Parmelee has been the complete opposite, winning fourteen of his last fifteen fights with twelve coming by way of TKO. Kimmons and Parmelee will headline the card offering up the classic matchup of striker versus grappler.

The co-main event features Muay Thai champion Romario “Junior Killer” da Silva (18-9-1) against an opponent yet to be determined. Da Silva was originally scheduled to stand opposite of Josh Neer, who will now be fighting in the UFC.

Bellator Fighting Championship veteran’s Brian Davidson (7-3) and Jeb Chiles (7-1) will be taking on highly touted prospect and rounding out the main card are welterweights Nick “The Head Case” Nolte (4-3) against Keith Collins (1-1-1)
