TUF Live: Team Cruz retains control in Episode three

If you remember last week episode, Dominick Cruz gave Urijah Faber the control to pick and he asked his team who’s ready to fight, which prompted no response from team Faber. The fighters on Team Cruz took that as a sign of weakness and a victory for their team, shooting their confidence through the roof.

No one was more confident than Chris Tickle who was having a blast with the fact no one from team Faber stepped up, so much fun he was even annoying his own team. Tickle even got into it with team Faber’s John Cofer as the two teams passed each other at the training facility. Surely these two will be fighting each other sooner, rather than later.

Both fighters made weight and it’s going to be new school vs. old school, youngest fighter in the house vs. the oldest fighter.

Fight Time: Justin Lawrence (Team Cruz) vs. Cristiano Marcello (Team Faber)

Marcello opened aggressive and controlling the center of the cage, but was keeping his chin up too high (something they worked on during practice). Even though he was more aggressive Lawrence was landing the better strikes while keeping the fight standing. Lawrence comes out more aggressive in round two, stuff a takedown during the clinch and even picks up and drops Marcello. Back standing Lawrence starts landing at will on Marcello, finishing him off with a left hand.

Justin Lawrence win by 2nd rd. KO

Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
