A driver in Crystal Lake, Illinois owes us a RFA 8 main event! With the marquee set as Sergio Pettis vs. “The Big Frog” Jeff Curran, Curran was forced to pull out of this title bout when someone struck and nearly killed his faithful hound. With Curran pulled from the gym for emergency surgery and assistance to his pooch, Pettis faces a new threat in Dillard Pegg in the new RFA 8 main event, along with a strong cast of Wisconsin fighters filling out the main card.
Circle the date Friday, June 21st on your calendar because Resurrection Fighting Alliance has two title fights planned for RFA 8 from The Rave/Eagles Club Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The promotion will introduce a new flyweight champion in the night’s main event as well as featherweight champion Jared Downing making his first title defense in the co-main event.
Friday’s Resurrection Fighting Alliance 4 was the first on many levels for the upstart MMA promotion. Not only were they making their first appearance in Las Vegas, Nevada but they were also coming off the acquisition of Titan Fighting Championship that included a TV deal with AXS TV that landed RFA 4 on TV’s everywhere.
With only four bouts in his professional MMA career, Sergio Pettis is scheduled to fight for the third time this year on June 15th when he squares off against Tom McKenna.

Last night the fighters for tonight’s Bellator 100 stepped onto the scales with all 24 fighters making weight. The historic 100th event for Bellator takes places tonight from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and features an all welterweight main card on Spike TV.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.
