MMA Fighter RankingsIt’s been two months since we last updated out Fighter Rankings and our error has resulted in plenty of changes to the top five-spot in many weight classes. Fighters moving around in weight classes, upsets and some impressive all played a part in the November Fighter Rankings.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida made the move down to the middleweight division last month and defeated Mark Munoz in dominate fashion. This forced his removal from the light heavyweight ranks giving those fighter rankings a bit of a shuffle. Machida isn’t in the middleweight top five just yet but will face Gegard Mousasi, who is also moving down in weight, early next year.

Bellator held their biggest event to date a couple of days ago and the outcomes from the three title fights significantly altered the fighter rankings. The previously #2 ranked featherweight Pat Curran was bullied for 25 minutes by Daniel Straus, who became the new featherweight champ. The win by Straus put him on the fighter rankings for the first time, while the loss by Curran completely knocked him off. Also the #2 ranked lightweight Michael Chandler faced Eddie Alvarez in a rematch of the epic first meeting. This time around the fight went the distance and Alvarez recaptured his title with a close decision. The loss by Chandler dropped him down to the #5 spot and Alvarez used his win to up him into the #4 spot in the lightweight rankings.

This month features two major title fights in the UFC as welterweight champion Georges St Pierre faces the hard-hitting Johny Hendricks and the flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson battles Joseph Benavidez for the second time.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
