Just a week removed from one of the best fight cards of the year the UFC head’s to the UK for UFC Fight Night 30. Original the UK’s favorite fighter Michael Bisping was set to headline opposite Mark Munoz but an eye injury removed the Count and in stepped former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.
Saturday afternoon the UFC makes its first appearance on the fledgling Fox Sports 2 with its UFC Fight Night 30. With a number of mediocre fight cards taking place over the weekend, on paper the UFC appears to have the best of the bunch. But similarly to its predecessor in the Fight Night timeline, UFC Fight Night 29, this card is void of top matchups where a true number one contender may emerge.
UFC 166 will be a hard act to follow, but the best and brightest of English MMA are up to the task and looking to make a name for themselves at this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 30. Our main event is a case of a fight cancellation’s replacement being better than the original, as Michael Bisping is replaced by Lyoto Machida in a Middleweight tilt.

Last night the fighters for tonight’s Bellator 100 stepped onto the scales with all 24 fighters making weight. The historic 100th event for Bellator takes places tonight from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and features an all welterweight main card on Spike TV.
