You’ve got to love free MMA cards, right? How about a free card that features two flyweight bouts that will eventually crown the first-ever UFC flyweight champion? UFC on FX: Alves vs. Kampmann might be headlined by a top welterweight showdown between Thiago Alves and Martin Kampmann but it’s the 125 pounders that will be the showcase.
With the first UFC on FX card just hours away from taking place the second show on FX is continuing to take shape. The latest addition is undefeated and recently signed middleweight Andrew Craig (6-0) who will be making his UFC debut in hostile territory against the Kyle Noke. UFC on FX 2 takes place in Noke’s backyard of Sydney, Australia on March 3rd.
Finally the flyweight division is coming to the biggest Mixed Martial Arts Promotion in 2012. At Saturdays UFC 140, UFC President Dana White announced the 125 pound division would debut inside the Octagon in March of 2012.
