Last night’s episode (#17) of The MMA Pulse primarily featured talk of the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3 video game set to hit store shelves next month. But every now and then, bad blood does indeed boil between two professional fighters, and when it does, you know things are going to get exiting, violent, and likely bloody.

He lobbied to be on the UFC 139 card in San Jose, California to fight in the city he’d been training in for year at AKA. While he didn’t get his request to fight, he did get his chance in front of the fans.
The fallout from the Saturday’s epic UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson event was released today by the California State Athletic Commission. Out of the 24 fighters on the card, 13 of them received medical suspensions with the obvious combatants receiving extended suspensions.

Making their first trip to San Jose, California the UFC put together a deep fight card that delivered the goods inside the Octagon. The final two fights at UFC 139 were both awarded “Fight of the Night” honors for good reason. As far as Main & Co-Main events go, UFC 139 arguably had the best combination of the two on a single night.
The UFC 139 weigh-ins could easily go down as one of the most interesting pre-fight weigh ins ever between the scale troubles, outrageous outfits and personalities. With fighters walking out dressed in a suit (Danny Castillo) and as Steven Seagal (Tom Lawlor) the fans were treated to more than fighters stripping down to their skivvies and stepping on a scale.
