After his impressive television debut on the April 1st Strikeforce Challengers Series card, undefeated light heavyweight Lorenz Larkin has been signed by Strikeforce.  Larkin (10-0) displayed vicious kicks and strong strikes against the K1 veteran Scott Lighty (6-1) to win the fight by second round TKO stoppage.

“I am definitely excited about this opportunity with Strikeforce,” says Larkin, “I want to fight good fights, continue to grow as a fighter, and put on a good show for all my fans.”

Larkin will bolster a Strikeforce light heavyweight division that has seen the championship belt change hands multiple times since Gegard Mousasi captured the vacant title back in 2009. Having seven knock out finishes in a row and eight overall KO’s, Larkin will easily become a fan favorite with his fighting style and the simple fact he finishes his fights.

Although there isn’t any word on when or who Larkin will fight next, he is a rising star in the Light Heavyweight division and definitely someone we should keep a close eye on.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
