The winner of The Ultimate Fighter is not always the fighter from that season to have the most success inside the Octagon; Jessamyn Duke could end up falling into that category.

It was a tremendously poor night of fights, both inside the TUF 18 Finale cage and with the constant bombardment of advertising throughout the evening. The horrible pacing of the show had me almost wishing I’d wasted money on a PPV. Men and women rose and fell with different tidbits catching my eye throughout the night.
With the final episode of The Ultimate Fighter 18 airing earlier this week it’s now time to crown two winners tonight. David Grant and Chris Holdsworth will battle it out in the men’s final, while Julianna Pena and Jessica Rakoczy will look to became the first-ever women’s Ultimate Fighter winner.
The Ultimate Fighter 18 was an odd season of TUF to stay the least, the women brought it, while a record amount of male fighters were dispatched by cinnamon rolls and pizza rather than their fellow competitors.
If it wasn’t for the women of The Ultimate Fighter 18 this season could have been considered the worst season ever for the reality MMA show.
As much as they would hate to admit it, Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz may have been destined to fight each other one last time. Their career paths, while diverging slightly in the middle, have followed a rather parallel trajectory. It seems only fitting that they meet once again to determine the next stage of their careers.
Over the last several years Chael Sonnen, (the American Gangster, the People’s Champ, the Gangster from West Linn) has transformed himself into one of the faces of the UFC. Or is it that the many faces of Chael Sonnen have transformed the UFC? Either way, he has injected himself into the mainstream consciousness in a way no fighter before him was ever able to do
Tonight The Ultimate Fighter 18 heads into the semifinal round. Four women and four men survived the quarterfinals and will now look to advance one step closer to being crowned “The Ultimate Fighter” and earning that six figure contract. Building off the previous rankings and the quarterfinal bouts the remaining eight fighters will once again be ranked prior to the semifinal round beginning.
