Less than a day before the Super Bowl, the UFC put on a featherweight super fight in the UFC 156 main event. Riding a long winning streak, Jose Aldo defended his title against the former lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar in his 145 pound debut. Their fight proved to be as billed but the night was filled with upsets and a “Bigfoot” sized come from behind knockout.

Headlining the lackluster UFC 155 card, Cain Velasquez came to Las Vegas with revenge on his mind. A violent punching machine with fast hips and a rock-hard head, Junior Dos Santos hadn’t found himself in a lick of trouble since coming to the UFC, and considering he’d dispatched Velasquez in under a minute last time out, it was hard to imagine anything had changed.
