Veteran fighter Mike Pyle walked away from Saturday’s TUF 16 Finale as the top earning with a win / show purse totaling $78,000. Pyle closed out the preliminary portion of the card with a TKO finish of James Head just under two minutes into the first round. The impressive win was his third consecutive win, all by way of knockout.

The Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday, February 2nd will be host to UFC 156 on Super Bowl weekend. Holding a big Pay Per View event in Las Vegas, Nevada the day before the Super Bowl has become a tradition for the UFC and something the fans look forward to each year.
The UFC on Fuel TV 6 had a good turnout despite being aired at five in the morning for West coasters. Though with the glorious invention of the DVR system and the replay later in the day, many were able to catch the fights at a more appropriate time that didn’t interfere with their sleep schedule.
Saturday’s UFC 153 event in Brazil was one of the years best that had several great fights. With only six more events (free and PPV) this year for the Ultimate fighting Championship, UFC 153 re-kindled the notion that the Welterweight is most likely the toughest division the UFC has. Despite being stagnate at the top for most of the year, the welterweight division is heating up and two fighters at UFC 153 made huge statements.
The UFC is back in Rio tonight with a card full of Brazilians looking to put on a performance for the fans at UFC 153. The Brazilian fans saw the card get hit by the injury bug that scrapped the top two fights on the card but ultimately got more then they could have ever hoped for tonight.

Tickets for the event will go on sale this Thursday August 23rd and the complete UFC 153 fight card has now been finalized. The card will take place at the HSBC Arena, which held the successful UFC 134 and UFC 142 events.
