The main event might have fallen apart due to injury, but the show must go on and we were treated to a great night of fights at Maximum Fighting Championship 37. With MFC bringing in some world-class Bantamweights and plenty of familiar faces on the card, it was worth investing your Friday night in.
The premier Canadian MMA organization is back with another stellar card this Saturday with MFC 37: True Grit. Pitting home-grown talent with some of the best free agents on the market is what Maximum Fighting Championship continues to bring with each event.
MFC 34: Total Recall took place Friday night in Edmonton, Alberta at the Mayfield Trade Centre, and all of the main card fights aired live on AXS TV. The main event was a rematch between Mukai Maromo and Adam Lynn and it was supposed to be a 5 round title fight for the vacant lightweight belt. That all went out the window when Maromo missed weight and the fight was changed to a 3 round scrap.
The Maximum Fighting Championship had three fighters miss weight for Friday’s MFC 34: Total Recall event, including Adam Lynn who was scheduled to Mukai Maromo for the vacant MFC lightweight title. The fight will still take place but has now been reduced to a three-round, non-title fight.
After making one change to the MFC 34 lineup, Maximum Fighting Championship has finalized the lineup for the August 10th MFC 34: Total Recall lineup. The lone change to the lineup was Jason Zentgraf stepping in for Mike Kent to take on Cody Krahn in the opening televised bout at MFC 34.
Since his time on The Ultimate Fighter season 11, middleweight Joseph Henle has done nothing but win. Defeating now UFC veteran Constantinos Philippou in the elimination round, Henle lost in the preliminary round to Seth Baczynski and was not brought back to fight in the finale.
The MFC 33: Collision Course canvas started out a clean bright white but when the night had concluded it was blood soaked red. The night’s final two bouts were brutal fights that resulted in some serious blood loss that painted the canvas red.
The two welterweights that will face off for the Maximum Fighting Championship’s welterweight title at tonight’s MFC 33: Collision Course made weight yesterday. Too bad the same could not be said for Edwin Dewees and Andrew Buckland.
UFC on FOX 7: Henderson vs. Melendez Weigh-in Pictures
Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

Amidst everything else going on, the UFC has themselves a busy day today with the UFC on FX 6 taking place in Australia and The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale weigh-ins. All 24 fighters made weight today for tomorrow’s event that will crown The Ultimate Fighter 16 welterweight winner.
UFC on FUEL TV 4 Weigh-in Results and Photos
SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.
