Friday’s Bellator 109 will be the last event of the season for the promotion and will feature a surprisingly impressive title fight. But that’s not all though as the Bellator 109 main card will also see the closure of the Lightweight and Welterweight tournaments.
Slow motion heavyweight’s aside, Bellator 104 was an excellent card tonight, with a few future tournament place holders making their mark. It’s the Welterweights we all came to see though, with the finals of that 170lb tourney capping off the evening.
Tonight’s Bellator 104 is one of the best Bellator cards of the season. The Welterweight tournament will come to a head, while fighters across all weight classes will look to get into the next phase of tournaments, with some recognizable names in the mix.
At tonight’s Bellator 100, eight welterweights were on display in another Bellator tournament, with the theme of new fighters taking on former Bellator vets. Last night the fighters for tonight’s Bellator 100 stepped onto the scales with all 24 fighters making weight. The historic 100th event for Bellator takes places tonight from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and features an all welterweight main card on Spike TV.
The tournaments are lining up nicely for Bellator and Friday’s Bellator 100 adds the welterweights to our active brackets. Familiar tournament battlers will lock horns with newcomers in this deep division, and our main event will settle up the previous season’s championship to make this a night of 170 pounders.
Season eight for Bellator is now in the books following tonight’s Bellator 95 from Atlantic City, NJ. After two tournament finals last week, tonight’s main card featured two more tournament finals as well as a featherweight title fight.
