Surprised by Marcus Jones
Was I the only one last night that was shocked by the outcome between Marcus Jones vs. Mike Wessel. Going into the fight I thought Marcus was going to win, he’s much bigger then Wessel and had a big reach advantage. I thought the fight would be a stand up fight with Wessel getting his head bashed in by Marcus and those bricks called hands. Well the fight started out as I thought but when Wessel went for a sweep Marcus muscled him to the ground. Marcus then busted out his Jiu-Jitsu skills and went for a kamura but Wessel rolled and gave up his back. Marcus then went for a rear naked choke but Wessel rolled to top position where almost instantly Marcus locked in an arm bar to end the fight. I sat there in front of the TV asking when did Marcus learn Jiu-Jitsu… The TV never responded!
