My Take on Fight Tube

We are all so addicted to MMA that when there is nothing new on we find ourselves searching YouTube for fight videos. The video giant is great and all but cluttered like a pack rats house with video’s from all over the world with people do random things. I was introduced to a website the other day that has fight videos from YouTube all in one spot called Fight Tube.

Here is my take on Fight Tube

When you think of the word Fight you probably think of a very broad range of things from Boxing to wrestling to Taekwondo. The cool thing about this website is that it truly cover all of that broad range and brings it into one place. The first thing you see when you arrive is blocks of videos laid out in 6 different categories MMA, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Karate, Boxing and Street Videos (Thank Kimbo). Inside each block there is 3 random videos from that style and there you can also hit ”click more” to see all the videos within the category. Once inside there you’ll see rows and rows of videos from that style all for your viewing pleasure. That’s not all the videos they have though if you scroll down to the bottom of the page of click the styles tab you’ll see all the categories. There are 40 categories in all to chooce from grouped into fighting sports (4), striking styles (6), grappling styles (6), weapons (4), other styles (6) and video types (14). Styles like Krav Maga, Kendo, Aikido and Capoeira can be found here plus training and tournament videos too.

When you accually click a video to watch you won’t be redirected to YouTube, you will stay at the Fight Tube website for easy navigation onto the next video. You still get all the options you’d see if you were viewing the video on YouTube like embedding code, comments and related videos. Essentially this is fight version of YouTube with out all the other nonsense.

Pros

  • All videos in one easy place
  • Just Fight videos (not people talking about fighting)
  • Easy navigation website that is also easy on the eyes
  • Ability to download larger videos then YouTube

Cons

  • Search results are not always accurate
  • Street fights being one of the main 6 categories

Conclusion

If you like watching fight videos you are going to love this website, if you’re looking for a guy sitting in his room talking about Chuck Liddell no won’t.
