Joe Stevenson vs. Danny Castillo at UFC on Versus 3
The UFC will be holding their third live event on Versus this March and the card has been shaping up nicely. The latest addition to the card was announced today as Joe “Daddy” Stevenson will take on Danny Castillo in a lightweight bout.
Stevenson (32-12) has hit somewhat of a rough patch in his career recently. Coming off of two consecutive losses, he may very well be in desperate need of a win to see another day in the UFC. However, Stevenson’s fighting mentality has always been something Dana White loves about him and could potentially keep him around a little longer. Every time the TUF Season 2 winner steps in to fight, he always leaves it all in the cage.
Castillo looks for 3 in a row
Castillo (10-3) will be making his UFC debut against Stevenson following the merger with the WEC. While in the WEC, Castillo compiled a respectable 5-3 record and will be coming into this bout on a two fight win streak. His most recent victory came at the expense of Will Kerr, whom Castillo knocked out in his final bout inside the WEC’s signature blue cage.
UFC on Versus 3 will take place March 3 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Headlining the card will be a welterweight clash between Diego Sanchez and Martin Kampmann.
