UFC Returns to Facebook With Mighty Mouse and The Kid
Tomorrow night the UFC will make its second round of streaming live fights on Facebook and the fans will defiantly receive the better end of the online campaign they begged for. Demetrious Johnson who recently beat a top-tier WEC fighter in Damacio Page, will meet Norifumi Yamamoto who is also top-tier sensation from Japan. Both are wrestling based fighters with crisp striking and great diversity in their fighting game. The fight is on the UFC preliminary card due to the amount of stars on the main and under card, yet due to popular request will be shown live on the UFC’s Facebook page.
Johnson is finally coming into his weight class and has put on good weight to level him out with the top guys of Bantamweight. He has great footwork and a grinder style of wrestling that uses the cage and control to break down his opponents in the fight.
Yamamoto looks for a successful UFC Debut
Yamamoto will come out firing and has extremely dangerous strikes and a first round pace. He is looking for a knockout and to shock newer MMA fans who might not have ever heard of him before this fight. He will be dangerous fast in this fight and has proven stopping ability whoever he faces. This is also his natural weight class even though he has jumped up in weight to get great fights.
Keys to the fight: Yamamoto will need to catch Johnson early in order to suppress his UFC jitters and win this fight. While he is the betting favorite, he needs to go out there and put the grinder away before the tide changes. Johnson will need to capitalize on his MMA takedowns and fancy footwork, two aspects he could have an advantage in for this fight. The kid is not used to wrestlers like mighty mouse inside of an 8 sided cage. If Johnson stays on the outside of Yamamoto’s strikes and works his head kicks and well-timed takedowns there is no doubt that he can pull off a late choke or decision.
Be sure to catch this fight early on Facebook, because both these fighters will give you a true taste of modern-day MMA and where the styles are heading for the future. It promises to be a fast paced war without the normal slowing you see in the heavyweight division. This could easily be fight, sub, or KO of the night for either of these talented fighters making their UFC Debut.
