Another Fight Added to The UFC on Versus 4

Matt Mitrione Another Fight Added to The UFC on Versus 4

June 26th’s free fight card featured on The Versus Network has just been upgraded with the addition of another stand up war to a card packed full of strikers. Matt Mitrione will face Christian Morecraft in a perfectly arranged battle of attrition for two rising stocks under the short list of Heavyweight fighters in the UFC. This will more than likely be on the televised portion due to Mitrione’s recent wins that caught the fans attention and his constant improvement in the division.

In what is a perfect test for both Morecraft (7-1 MMA 1-1 UFC) and Mitrione (4-0 MMA/UFC) fans will see exactly what they need to know about Morecraft’s resistance to strikes, and how Mitrione faces up against wrestlers who will try to keep him on his back. The match making could not have gone better for these two prospects and there is a great tone to this fight even though it is so far off.

Mitrione will need to keep this fight standing and tag Morecraft as much as possible. If Struve can put him away quickly, Matt’s iron chin and heavy / fast hands should give the fans what they want to see. Morecraft will want to wrestle Mitrione to his back, a place where he has shown flaws in the past and work for a quick submission like his recent win over Sean McCorkle. Mitrione has picked up his skills in every fight and Morecraft has shown he has what it takes to fight in the UFC.
