UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans Medical Suspensions
Following this weekend’s UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans event, the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission passed out suspensions to 20 of the 24 fighters. Three fighters were issued lengthy suspensions, while one was given an indefinite suspension.
Main card fighters Miguel Torres, Che Mills and Brendan Schaub who suffered knockout losses would earn the longest suspensions. Torres will be out of action 60 days while Mills and Schaub were both given 45 day suspensions.
The dubious honor of the indefinite suspension goes to Mac Danzig, who had his right ankle turned in circles by Efrain Escudero and his failed heel-hook attempt. Danzig must have an X-ray done on his ankle joint before he can return to action.
Eddie Yagin, Mark Hominick and Chad Griggs each received 30-day suspensions that include a 21-day order of no contact, while the rest were issued either a 14-day or 7-day suspension.
