BAMMA USA Going All-Pro for Badbeat 7 Fight Card
Southern California’s Mixed Martial Arts promotion BAMMA USA announced that its next event on October 12th will be an all professional fight card. Badbeat 7 will consist of 14 fights and be headlined by a current and former Strikeforce fighter as Virgil “Rezdog” Zwicker faces Mike “The Animal” Cook in a light heavyweight clash.
Zwicker (10-3) trains out of Team Quest in Temecula, CA and is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Carlos Augusto Filho at Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier. After starting his career 8-0, the Kummeyaay Indian from the San Pasqual Indian Reservation has gone just 2-3. Cook (12-10) fights out of Team Ruiz in Fresno, CA and has stepped into the cage against such notable names as Lorenz Larkin and Trevor Prangley. Cook is a finisher though and a pairing against the always moving forward Zwicker promises fireworks.
Undefeated BAMMA USA veteran bantamweight “The Real Deal” Chris Beal returns in the night’s co-main event as he’ll take on Shad Smith. Beal (6-0) defeated Kana Hyatt by unanimous decision at Badbeat 6 in July and will be looking for fifth win inside the Badbeat Cage. Smith (12-15-2) will bring his nearly 30 professional fights to BAMMA USA for the second time, looking to get that first Badbeat win under his belt.
