If MMA Had a Super Bowl it Would look Like This

This Sunday the biggest sporting event in the United States will take place as the Green Bay Packer and Pittsburgh Steelers will compete in the 45th Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is the single most bet upon sporting event of the year and is watched by nearly 100 million viewers. The Super Bowl is the day the best team from the NFC faces the best team from the AFC and when it’s all said and done there is no doubt who is the best in the NFL.

For MMA both the fighters and the fans have consistently wondered just who is the absolute best at each weight class, but that question has lone gone unanswered. Talk of cross promoting to match up the champions from the big organizations has been brought up a million and one times, but politics gets in the way and you get what we have currently.

MMA Valor Fighter Rankings for Start of 2011

A new year is upon us and with all things new there is some change. Starting now there will no longer be a fighter rankings page, instead there will be updated rankings once a month (twice this month) in a form of a post.

2010 was another great year for MMA and it saw many new champions be crowned while other champs were able to hang onto their belts. Rankings are loved and hated by many, everyone has their opinion and thus rankings become very bias and looked down upon. Rankings are important though and whether you agree with them or not they are always an excellent conversation piece.

His opponent, Hideo Tokoro, is a 10 year veteran in the sport and despite a tedious 27-23-1 record, has had a cavalcade of experience; a win over Royler Gracie and a notable draw with legend Royce Gracie.
