Making their first trip to San Jose, California the UFC put together a deep fight card that delivered the goods inside the Octagon. The final two fights at UFC 139 were both awarded “Fight of the Night” honors for good reason. As far as Main & Co-Main events go, UFC 139 arguably had the best combination of the two on a single night.
The UFC 139 weigh-ins could easily go down as one of the most interesting pre-fight weigh ins ever between the scale troubles, outrageous outfits and personalities. With fighters walking out dressed in a suit (Danny Castillo) and as Steven Seagal (Tom Lawlor) the fans were treated to more than fighters stripping down to their skivvies and stepping on a scale.
After a successful debut on network TV the UFC heads up interstate 101 from Anaheim, California to the HP Pavilion in San Jose for UFC 139. The former home of Strikeforce, the UFC is making their first trip to San Jose. With MMA legends and former champions all over the card, UFC 139 is one of the deepest fight cards of the year.
On Saturday, May 28th, the UFC returns to its home in Las Vegas, Nevada for UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill from inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena. After the success of showing every single fight from UFC 129, this card’s undercard will also be shown on both Spike TV and Facebook. In this week’s breakdown, we are going to focus solely on the preliminary fights and follow up with a look at the Main Card next week.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

All the fighters for tomorrow’s TUF Live Finale were on weight as they stepped onto the scales inside the Pearl at the Palms. The 20 fighters, including 12 of the 16 TUF Live fighters will begin entering the Octagon tomorrow starting at 2:45pm PT / 5:45pm ET.
