The UFC 139 weigh-ins could easily go down as one of the most interesting pre-fight weigh ins ever between the scale troubles, outrageous outfits and personalities. With fighters walking out dressed in a suit (Danny Castillo) and as Steven Seagal (Tom Lawlor) the fans were treated to more than fighters stripping down to their skivvies and stepping on a scale.
After a successful debut on network TV the UFC heads up interstate 101 from Anaheim, California to the HP Pavilion in San Jose for UFC 139. The former home of Strikeforce, the UFC is making their first trip to San Jose. With MMA legends and former champions all over the card, UFC 139 is one of the deepest fight cards of the year.
UFC of Fox was a bit of a flop, but easy money made it worth our while, and UFC 139 has similar heavy plays. Our main event is the return of Dan Henderson at light heavyweight, as he takes on former champion Shogun in a five rounder. Anyone sick of fights every weekend yet? I didn’t think so. While this fight card might not be the best of the bunch for entertainment value, it brings a huge variety of wagering options and should be the easiest to turn a buck on in the month of July.
