He brings up making the wrong decision in picking his opponent after drawing the shortest straw, something the fighters of Team Carwin learn of and are shocked by the odd methods.

The fighters entered the house for the first time on this week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson and the traditional mad dash for the beds occurred. Luckily for us all there was no “hey that’s my bed” shenanigans.

The 16th season of The Ultimate Fighter titled The Ultimate Fighter Fridays: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson premiered tonight with the 16 elimination bouts to finalize the cast of 16 fighters that will compete for the six figure contract.
That strange feeling this weekend wasn’t the fact that you had one more day to party, it was the MMA void left by the absence of UFC 151. While the MMA world has moved on and the UFC has moved its attention to the new season of The Ultimate Fighter and UFC 152 they cannot hide from the fact something was missing this weekend.
With no UFC this past weekend all eyes from the Independent MMA Link Club were focused on the second event from the all female promotion Invicta. Streaming live on their website, Invicta FC 2 was a solids event that had the attention of the entire Mixed Martial Arts community. Aside from the Invicta event, news broke this past week of a former UFC heavyweight champion moving from the UFC to Strikeforce for one fight only.
The two upcoming seasons of the UFC reality show “The Ultimate Fighter” have finally been given their respective coaches. Heavyweights Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson have been selected as the TUF 16 (TUF on FX) coaches and George Sotiropoulos and Ross Pearson will helm TUF: Australia vs. United Kingdom.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.
