It was an odd night in Newark, New Jersey for UFC 159 as the event saw a couple broken body parts and a fighter incorrectly being announced the winner. One of those broken body parts was the left big toe of the UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Despite the nasty looking break the champion entered the record books by successfully defended his title for a record tying fifth time.

A handful of fighter needed the towel to make-weight and only welterweight Nick Catone missed weight for tomorrow’s UFC 159. Catone did not attempt to drop the extra weight so he will be fined 20% of his purse but will still face James head on the preliminary portion of the card.

The UFC will be in Newark, New Jersey this weekend with a UFC 159 fight card that features the light heavyweight champion Jon Jones versus the “People’s Champion” Chael Sonnen for the UFC light heavyweight title. The Ultimate Fighter 17 coaches played nice during the show but returned to hyping the fight (Sonnen) and mean mugging (Jones) as the two will finally step into the cage on Saturday.
