Female Fighters
In a little over a week the biggest Female MMA bout will take place at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg. Gina “Conviction” Carano will face off against her so called biggest rival Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos for the newly created 145lbs. belt. This is a big fight for both Strikeforce and for Female’s in MMA but I can’t help but wonder if we really want to see this. Now female’s in boxing really never worked and seem more like a side show then fight. What makes people think that it will work in MMA where it’s more damaging, bloody and physical? I never cared to watch female boxing but I have watched female MMA fights. Most of those fights though had Gina Carano in them. We all know that she is HOT so I’d be fooling myself to think I was watching it for any other reason.
So as fans are we watching this fight because it’s a major step for female fighters or because the American Gladiator [Crush] is fighting?
