World Championship Fighting 10 card finalized
World Championship Fighting today announced their full fight card for WCF 10, which takes place June 11, 2010 live from the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, MA. The card is filled with the hottest prospects and up and coming stars New England has to offer, and you do not want to miss this-these guys are the future of the sport.
Headlining the show is a match-up between undefeated Sit Yod Tong fighter Scott Nichols vs. a fighter who has appeared on all but two WCF events, Stephen Stengel. Nichols has gotten off to a fast start in his pro career, and has looked dominant in his four wins. Stengel is a tough, gritty veteran who is fresh off a win over another hot prospect that came in at 4-0, and he’s looking to give Scott Nichols a rough introduction to World Championship Fighting.
Wilmington native, Dan Bonnell is set to take on tough brawler Christian Rivera. Bonnell is no stranger to WCF, as this will be his ninth WCF fight, and he’s always a crowd favorite. Rivera is a veteran of over 10 MMA fights, and he’s looking to spoil Bonnell’s homecoming on June 11.
In what is expected to be the fight of the night, tough prospects square off as BJJ Brown Belt Noah Weisman takes on a fighter with some of the most exciting wrestling and striking in WCF, Luis Felix. Luis’ fight with Josh Key will forever be remembered as one of the best ever for World Championship Fighting. Weisman is fresh off a tough fight with John Benoit, and he looks to get back to his winning ways against Luis Felix.
Popular amateur fighter, Shawn “The Neck Breaker” Baker is set to make his pro debut on the card as well. He is well know for his ring entrance, which includes a huge indian head dress, as well as his lethal striking. He takes on tough WCF veteran, Josh “The Mass Murderer” Mellen. Josh is always a crowd pleaser, and he plans to go to war with Baker on June 11.
