UFC Fight Night 24: Nogueira vs. Davis Predictions
The UFC makes its first trip Seattle Washington this Saturday, March 26, 2011 for UFC Fight Night 24: “Nogueira vs. Davis”. Originally the event was called “Nogueira vs. Ortiz” until Phil Davis stepped in to face Lil Nog after Tito Ortiz suffered a cut above his eye and a concussion while training and was forced to withdraw.
The UFN 24 main card has seen its share of changes as three of the four original bouts have since changed to what you see now. The welterweight showdown between Dan Hardy and Anthony Johnson that promises fireworks is the only bout that was left unchanged.
Along with the change at the main event, Chan Sung Jung (Korean Zombie) stepped in to face Leonard Garcia after Nam Phan broke his foot. Season 7 winner of the Ultimate Fighter, Amir Sadollah is now facing DaMarques Johnson but was originally scheduled to face Duane Ludwig who withdrew due to injury and was then replaced by James Wilks who got injured himself.
Though there has been lots of shuffling around the card is still solids with some very intriguing matchups. The UFC Fight Night 24 main card airs on Spike TV (10 p.m. ET/PT) and the Facebook stream, which will air a record high five bouts begins at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. PT) at www.facebook.com/ufc.
